Lowdown

Montmorency has to regroup after losing two players to the CIS and another two to Division I. The team will face its toughest season in years.

Guards

The two Ouellet girls -- Mélanie and Émilie, will be counted on to replace superstars Maripier Malo and Corinne Jean. Both Ouellets were solid role players on last year's regular-season champions.

They'll get to tutor incoming high-school phenom Julie Frappier, who has proven time and time again that size doesn't matter. The 5-4 guard averaged 28.3 points per game at Collège Laval last year.

Fowards

This could be Laurie Grenier's year. She's the team's top returning scorer and had several big games last season, especially on the boards.

Fellow second-year teammates Alex Lemieux, Laurence Rivest and Jessica Saintot also showed promise last year will be looked on to step up.

Two CPEQ forwards, Marie-Ève Dufault and Sarah Lachapelle, ensure that Montmorency's future will be secure.

Coach: Guillaume Giroux, 4th year.

2003-2004: 13-1. First place. Lost to Ste-Foy in provincial final.
